Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of five series: Newspaper ClippingsCorrespondencePeriodicalsPhotographs and Subject Files. The bulk of the collection lies in the Publications series but original items of interest may be found in the Correspondence and Subject Files series.

 

The Subject Files Series I contains a great variety of materials, including correspondence, reprints and conference materials. One large folder is devoted to materials from SWAPO (South West Africa Peoples’ Organization).

 

The Correspondence Series II consists of seven folders. Items of interest might include an original invitation to Nelson Mandela from the president-elect of Mali (in “Faxes Dispatched” folder).

 

The Newspaper Clippings / Photographs Series III consists of two folders, one with photographs and negatives, and the other folder consists of newspaper clippings and included in it are photocopies from English language papers around the world concerning ANC and South Africa.

 

The Publications Series V contains 10 folders, most of which contain a single title. Researchers should note that other publications may also be found in the Subject Files series.
